So much time, so little to do.

Attention, the subject of this post is mostly whining and complaining, so if you continue reading, you have been warned.

I'm sorry that I haven't written anything on here for so long, but there has really been nothing to write. We get up, PT at 0630, meeting at 0900, then sit all day, meeting at 1700, then dismissed. Sit, sit, eat, sit, sit, sleep. Repeat. All of the days look like each other and I really don't know where the time has gone.

I am hoping that I and M.M. will be going to Iraq soon. We still have no leave date, but we do have solid intel that we will be leaving sometime soon. However, soon can mean two days or two months. I am packed and ready to go for the most part. All I need is about 4 hours to make sure everything is good, and I'm ready. I found out that there is very little need for civilian clothes in Iraq, so I will be sending home what little I brought. I am still searching for the big khaki duffle to replace my sea bag, but I am thinking with the reduced weight load on the sea bag I may be able to get along with it if I can figure out how to fix the straps.

It has been "sanding" again the last few days. Yesterday wasn't too bad, but the days before weren't very much fun. We all wear masks when we go out when it's like that. Not worth getting an upper respiratory infection or just coughing up sand for hours.

Sand....it gets in our food, it is in your nose when you go to sleep, we sweep up cups of it when we sweep every other day. I have sand in places I didn't know I could get it.
